"I like thinking about people, places or items from the past and present and how they can influence the future. For me, everything is cyclical and I try to portray that belief in my art. I like using my instincts when it comes to painting and how sometimes what my mind sees and what plays out on the canvas evolves into something more satisfying and often surprising . Approaching my paintings by adding movement to the canvas's static state, is where I find they can take on a personality of their own and draw others to them."
